Two decades in technology consulting, executing engagements inside multiple Fortune 500 organizations while handling all aspects of a modern data & analytics practice at a Tier 1 consulting firm. The connective tissue across all of it has been deep, hands-on technical work — modeling, pipelines, cloud warehouses, dbt — paired with the kind of direct executive communication that is usually walled off in larger consulting engagements.
Dorian Insights is the practice around this work today: a senior-principal consultancy focused on data and analytics, business strategy, and the technology architecture that supports them. Most current engagements involve direct platform work — across cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery), dbt, and the broader modern data stack — typically in service of a strategic question that started with leadership.
Current focus areas include building and operating cloud data platforms; team and process design; integration of LLMs and AI into analytical workflows; and full-stack analysis from raw data through executive presentation.

Remote-first by default. Travel to client sites as engagements require.
Home base is the east side of the Big Island. Most current engagements run remote, with on-site travel scheduled into the work as it makes sense. Time zone coverage tends to align naturally with West Coast morning meetings and Asia-Pacific afternoon sessions.
The setup keeps overhead low and travel intentional — which means more of the engagement budget goes into the actual work rather than the logistics around it.
